Primoz Roglic and Jonas Vingegaard will duel in a very demanding Tour of the Basque Country, check out all the stages

The presentation of Itzulia Basque Country 2024 took place this Friday at Irun City Hall, which will take place between April 1st and 6th and will be attended by big names in international cycling.

Jonas Vingegaard will try to keep the yellow jersey, but will have to deal with great rivals such as Primoz Roglic, Mikel Landa and Pello Bilbao. The definitive start list will be known in March, however, these cyclists have already revealed that they will be present in the competition.

Check out all the stages of the Itzulia Basque Country

Stage 1 01.04 – RACE / RACE 10.00 km

The Time Trial returns with a short but challenging stage. Fast 10% ramps on cobblestones will welcome cyclists. The single climb could make a difference, but no big gaps are expected.

2nd Stage 02.04 – IRUN/KANBO 160.00  km

The race crosses the border with a stage on difficult terrain. Despite a single scoring gate, the constant ups and downs can lead to a blowout

3rd Stage 03.04 – EZPELETA / ALTSASU 190.90 km  .

The longest stage with 6 climbs. The climb to Otsondo could be the key to a strong break. The last climbs will define the leading group.

4th Stage 04.04 – ETXARRI ARANATZ / LEGUTIO 157.50 km.

False plan, the climb to Opakua and three demanding climbs near the end promise nervousness and possible attacks.

5th Stage 05.04 – VITORIA-GASTEIZ / AMOREBIETA-ETXANO 175.90 km  .

A circuit with a climb to Urkiola and two climbs to Muniketa poses significant challenges before reaching the finish line.

6th Stage 6 – EIBAR-EIBAR 137.80 km

The queen stage, selective from the beginning and demanding, will be crucial for candidates for the general classification. A great team will be vital to control the stage.
